Daniel Fast Day 6 & 7

Good evening fellow readers. In my last blog post I mentioned I was sick, well I still am. Flu like symptoms. Blah! It hasn’t affected my fast, in fact it has given me a lot of down time to just sit and talk to God. This fast has shown me a lot about myself, what’s inside. I can honestly say this is the most difficult fast I have ever done. Moving 700 miles feom a house to a fifth wheel, getting the flu, and to top it off our house we are selling was broken into And they did a lot of damage and stole a lot of things. There have been a lot of attacks that have come my way one after another. I am grateful for this fast because it has just reminded me how deeply I need God, and I trust him wholeheartedly he will get me through anything and everything. I pray that during this time of fasting and praying you experience the deep connection between you and our Father. He loves you and wants to be here for you.

Lets Reflect:

What does it mean to fast and connect with God in the “secret place”?

How does fasting freely with a good attitude change the way you perceive your surrounding?

When you pray, how do you pray? Whens the last time you prayed a powerful, specific prayer? What happened?

These are important questions to ask yourself during your prayer time, or journal time. They will help you to see what you need to change or ask for from God. Continue to ask him what he wants feom you. Be patient, wait and listen. Fasting is not easy or enjoyable. I feel it is a necessity for my prayer life. Fasting is t for everyone but I believe everyone should try it.

I encourage you to read:

Matthew 6:16-18

Matthew 4:2

Luke 4:2

What are the characteristics of these passages? What is one verse that stood out to you? And why?

Let us Pray:

Father, I don’t want to play it safe with my prayers anymore. I want to pray dangerous, specific, powerful prayers. Help me to know you better so I can pray boldly and according to your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen

”And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God BOLDLY.”

Acts 4:31
