Love & Grace
Hello my faithful readers, I pray everyone is having a blessed day. This week is coming to a close, we made it, another wonderful week down. I pray everyone got a chance to do or say something nice for someone and I hope it made a difference in their day and yours. It may have been just the positivity they needed to keep pushing through these hard times. Even though this week is coming to an end, let’s not forget the theme or Love & Grace. Here are a few passages I wanted to share about just that. They are very well known and common to most Christians. I believe it is because they hold so much value and foundation of what our religion is to us.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"If anyone has this world’s goods and sees a fellow believer in need but withholds compassion from him—how does God’s love reside in him?” 1 John 3:17
"We have all received grace upon grace from his fullness, for the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 3:16-17
Help those in need for where does Gods love reside in you? Grace and truth are the way of Christ that was gifted to us from God who gave his only son so we may have eternal life for whoever believeth in him. Are these not passages to ponder on, weekly, if not daily? Where does your heart truly lie? Are you too busy caught up in the woes of the news & social media to examine you own heart? Take a moment, truly ask yourself these questions, write down the answers.
Does my heart belong to Christ, intentionally and intently?
Have I been distracted with worldly troubles instead of focusing on my relationship with God?
Have I shown grace and love to those in need or that don’t deserve, or have I turned my back, closed my eyes?
Write down your responses to the questions and when you are done re-read them. Then make a list under each answer of what and how you are going to change. Ask God what he would like to see from you, ask him to open your heart and eyes to those around you. Take a moment to be still, talk to him in the silence. Your father is listening, waiting, intentionally and intently. The questions remains, are you ready to listen to what He has to say?
He loves you, he loves every single one of us so much he sacrificed his only son. Brought him to this world through birth, made him live and suffer as a man. Made him relatable to every one of us. Yet through it all, Christ never lost hope, never gave up on us & never stopped loving us. He exudes Love & Grace. I pray you find the courage and strength to have the love and grace he has blessed you with. Then take that love and grace and spread it to everyone you meet. Let them know you are a Christian, not by telling them so, but by your words and actions.
I pray for you my friend, be strong and courageous. Love intentionally and give grace intently.
Love,
Mama J
