Love in Christ...Happy Valentines Day
February is my favorite month, I love the soft pinks and reds, the hearts, the roses! It is just my favorite time of the year; it is so beautiful and filled with love. We can feel this love all year long, with the love from our father, Christ Jesus. The very presence of Jesus was love, peace and warmth. Wherever He went people were in awe of Him and His overwhelming love, kindness and peace. We still feel that love today! The bible mentions the word love 310 times, 131 in the Old Testament and 179 times in the New Testament. That is a lot of love!
Here are some of my favorite scriptures on Love.
“In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as they love their own bodies.” Ephesians 5:28
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice in unrighteousness but rejoices in truth. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
“But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:44-45
“We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John 4:19
“Three things will endure forever, faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 12:13

These are just a few of the beautiful verses on love that the bible mentions. I encourage you to get out your bible and find the verse that is the most meaningful to you. Ask God to show you. Maybe it mentions love, maybe it does not. Either way you will still feel the love, warmth and peace of Christ Jesus. I challenge you today to show love, peace, understanding and grace to everyone you meet today. Show them your Christ like love.
